Hi everyone,

I wanted to thank you all for the great support that you continue to provide to the community. I was interested in finding out what is the process after the petitioner receives approved NOA2?

Can you tell me which of the following steps are track able? and if it is track able, how can I track it?

(1) Petition goes to NVC

(2) Leaves NVC

(3) Arrives at UK Embassy

My order of events was a bit off but in short the answer is yes.

When I returned home from a trip to Vietnam my NOA2 was in the mailbox. I called the NVC and gave them the case number from the NOA2 and they informed me it had been sent to the Consulate. A few days later I received a letter from the NVC with the HCM Case Number. I then emailed the Consulate and asked if they received it. I did receive an email from the Consulate confirming that, It just happened to be the same day my fiancee received packet 3 so I was already in the know (about three weeks later)!

So you can call NVC to check on the status(give it some time to get there and get into the system).

Nik+Heater can probably tell you more about tracking and how it follows in the UK, they are very active here and are very great help

After receiving the NOA2, you can call NVC and see if they've received your petition (You'll need case number, petitioner name, date of birth, beneficiary name and date of birth).

Once you know NVC has your petition, you can track it from NVC to the Embassy by using the following link:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/194465-how-to-track-your-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/page__pid__2888420__st__0entry2888420

It requires a little date manipulation but it does work and you can see when your petition hits the Embassy.

Good luck,

Alan

Here's some UK specific information that you might find helpful. It's a work in progress.

And I'm thinking the NVC might not be doing the DHL shipments right now because of the volcano and the closure of air space over much of Europe. I suppose NVC can send them DHL and it's DHL's problem how they will get them overseas. You might see a delay in getting your file to London. That's just a speculation on my part.

Iceland Volcano Service Alert

Posted on April 19, 2010

Following the recent eruption of a volcano in Iceland, air space has temporarily been closed by national authorities in many European countries. Consequently, DHL Express expects service delays along several European air traffic routes. We are monitoring the rapidly changing situation closely, and making network adjustments to minimize service disruptions to our customers within these regions.

The DHL Express International Service Guarantee does not apply for late shipment delivery of DHL Express shipments caused by natural disasters.

A fellow UKer!

I have tracked mine right up till this point.

I know when the NOA2 was issued due to the website telling me.

I rang the NVC number daily to check for updates and to see if they had received it from the Service Centre and they also let me know when the sent it to London.

The I rang the 0906 London Embassy number (just press option 3 straight away to save on the charge of the call)and they told me when they had got it and when they had issued my packet 3.

I returned my packet 3 special delivery so it was tracked.

I am assuming I can keep ringing the 0906 number at the Embassy to check when they have sent packet 4.

Job done, good luck!
