So I was reading on the instructions that state that if the DS 3025 (vaccination record) was not properly completed and included as part of the original overseas medical report examination report then you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a civil surgeon....here's what I dont get...If my fiance had all the vaccinations he needed when he came from London do we need to set up another appointment for this I-693 or are we ok with the information that was sent in the mysterious brown packet? I am under the impression that since he's had the required vaccinations and that was noted in the overseas physical that we should be ok? If someone could give me some idea...I just want to get all our paperwork sorted and if he needs this I need to get him an appointment to do so! Thanks in advance for the advice/information

Check the DS3025 that Knightsbridge gave you.

What sort of markings does it have for the required vaccinations? If there are dates, or it has otherwise been clearly marked as complete, then some people have successfully sent just a copy of this. Even if you get an RFE, then there's a way to deal with that. We found that Knightsbridge was very ambiguous on what they put on the DS3025. Nik was missing one vaccine, and they didn't differentiate in their markings between the one he already had and the one which was needed. ALL just said "K-1" in the column. Thanks. Jerk. If it's ambiguous, you'll have to get the vaccines transcribed by a civil surgeon onto the I-693.

Others have just sent in the DS3025 and still been RFE'd for the I-693 parts 1, 2 (vacc. portion), & 5. Others have done this and still been RFE'd for the whole I-693. Basically what I'm saying is that it doesn't matter what you do, It's a ####### shoot if the person at USCIS knows how to process the AOS application for K-1 entrants.

The good news is that several people have done things correctly, and been able to combat the RFEs by working with their congressperson/senator's office.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.
