I am getting ready to send copy of K-1 application to my fiancee as well as the affidavit of support (the case is being forwarded to the embassy as we speak).

My question is - how important is sending the original NOA2 (which I haven't yet received in the mail) and original documents, copies of which I filed with the K-1 application?

(The only original copy I can send is the boarding pass and engagement photos).

Whatever you decide to send your fiancée should only be photocopies just in case. As for the importance of these documents, it's a good back up in case the embassy says they're missing something. It's always good to be overprepared.

I can send the photo copies no problem but I read it on VJ that originals should be sent as well. Well if I don't get the NOA2 before I send my packet to my fiancee, I can send her a scanned copy.

"Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy. "

You can send originals of photographs etc, but do not trust the NOA2 to the mail. That one little piece of paper will cost you LITERALLY HUNDREDS of dollars to replace if the mail goes wayward.

My fiance sent me only photocopies and the day of the interview I had not problems. About the NOA2 I printed this notification from my email.

The original documents that your fiance must provide are those of the package 3
