So confused and depressed Need help....

Hello VJR'S Family,

I was interviewed April 12 at 7:00 in the morning, it only took 5 mins for the interview and I answered all the questions well. Was simple personal questions. After the consul said they need to verify my NBI clearance and said that they will call me again. After 5 mins woman voice said i have to go to window 38 and she gave me a white paper says that your immigrant visa application under section 221(g) of the INA and below with an X mark says "WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US" Am I waiting of nothing? will USEM grant me visa or never because of the issue? please enlighten me......

sometimes 2005 my employer had a fight with his wife now (ex wife) over their property. she really hurt of the separation and wants to get even with my boss, so she filed various cases to my boss and since i was the corporate secretary of the company my name was dragged too. i was never arrested nor convicted because they ended into an agreement to divide their properties and the case was dismissed in 2005. she issued affidavit of desistance says( after evaluating the facts and the evidence, I came into a conclusion that the filing of the case was due to misunderstanding and misappreciation of facts, hence, the case should not have been filed at all.

I'm sure they will grant you a visa after they confirm your NBI for clarification. Did you asked if how long should you wait to hear from them?

You need to just calm down and relax. I took almost a week for my wife to receive her Visa and that was with a pink slip at the interview.

I know it's easier for me to say it now as my wife has been with me for 5 months now but trust me when I say a 2 or 3 week delay will be forgotten the second you walk through the doors at the US airport and see your husband waiting for you.

Actually I emailed them today and asked the status of my papers but replied me that they can not give exact date.

The CO lady told me I would get my visa in 2 weeks (or more) but I got it 6 days later.

I just received the packet for my CR1 Petition and I am filling up form DS 230. In page 4 no. 41 Have you ever charged, arrested or convicted of any offense or crime? what do you think i will answer? YES or No? I was never arrested nor convicted. confused. very very confused. :help: :help:

My wife had the interview at the same embassy on the same day. But with my wife, she was never given a paper saying that she is under the 221(g). But she returned on the 15th for an interview with the FPU and they told her that they will contact her when the review is complete, and kept her passport. They have over 8 pounds of papers to look through, if they want to review my rebuttal evidence that was supplied with the NOID.

Which part is confusing? If you have ever been charged, arrested, or convicted of any offense or crime you write, yes. If you have never been charged, arrested, or convicted of any offense or crime, you write no. It's one or the other. This is not about property matters or marriages such as what you explained with your boss and his exwife.

It's about criminal offenses and that's it.

Hey you!

Why dont you give the Dept of State a call. 1-202-663-1225 press 1 and then 0, they can tell you what is going on with your visa.. whether its still under review, if its been approved, or printed. Make sure you have your case number ready!

I called them EVERYDAY while I was in AP (2 months) and finally got the good news.

Keep your chin up! Sometimes our visa journey's are longer than others, but it makes it sweeter when the moment arrives!

I also had my interview last April 12th. I didn't get the pink slip because I didn't have my fiance's 2009 income tax return. I went back there last April 14th to give them the document.

I just called the USEM yesterday (301-2000 ext. # 5184-85), they said my visa has been approved April 15th, a day after I gave my fiance's tax return. They told me that it takes 7-10 working days before it will be delivered. Just keep on praying. Nothing is impossible to a person who has faith. Good luck.
