My fiance received a letter from HCMC to direct her using this website for further instruction.

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/hochiminh/174995/pdf/Instruction-Package-for-IV_001.pdf

It looks exactly like package 3 that was posted in others.

I have several questions from this instruction:

Should I contact NVC and pay $400 now or let my fiance pay it in VN at the interview?

Should I send Form I-864, Affidavit of Support to NVC or mail it to my fiance so she can show it at the interview?

When she submits form DS-2001 and DS-230 Part 1 to HCMC, how long it would take to have an appointment letter for interview?

FYI, I just came back from VN after two weeks. We had an engagement ceremony and a trip to Dalat. It was a full blown ceremony like a wedding. We took a lot of pictures with our families and friends. My sister did attend my engagement with my aunts and uncle. My fiance has all of the copies of my trip. She is now waiting to receive an interview appointment letter after turning in form DS-2001 and DS-230 Part 1.

Are you filing K-1?

If so you were given misinformation from the consulate...

Hi Jake - it sure looks like they sent the incorrect link as mentioned. She should have received the instructions for K-applicants.

I checked the HCMC consulate web site and I dont see where anything has changed and the packet in trailmix link looks correct.

Congrats on your ceremony, it will be one year ago on April 28th that we had ours (although we did the weding ceremony in lieu of the engagement ceremony - luckily it all worked out for us as we were K-1 also!

Sounds like you had a great time  Hope the rest goes well, Best Wishes!!
