AOS with two petitions approved

Hello All,

My friends has an issue. She came here on a visitor visa and overstayed in 2005. At the time, her LPR mother filed a petition which was approved some years later, then mother became a USC, but she never took any action on it like applying for AOS. In 2007, she met her LPR fiance; they waited for the LPR to become a USC at the end of 2009, married and filed for AOS. Her question is that because she has an approved I-130 from her USC mother, is this going to be an issue when she does the interview for AOS through her USC husband? Does she need to drop the approved petition (from mother) before she gets to the interview? If that is the case what or how does she drop the approved I-130 through her mother?

So anyone have an idea what can be done? Do they need to drop one of the I-130 approved?

I honestly don't know the answer to your question but this is the wrong place for it in either event.

Moving to AOS from Tourist, Student, Work Visas.

No it won't affect . We have the same case but different situation and I called NVC and asked about it. They said that it's 2 separate petition and wont affect each other. Hope that helps
