my mom birth certificate

hi fellows,

i recently petition my mother here in u.s she just got interviewed supposed to be her self only and the interpreter. the immigration officer said. well since i was there and waiting for her. the officer asking about the birth certificate of my mother and looking for the issued by the NSO we dont have it and since before she dont got one. well i called my sister overseas and asking about the BC to get one to nso. finally we almost there on the finished line suddenly my sister said the year of birth on the BC was different they told to her mom was late registration. since back on the 40's. mom explained she having trouble to registered her self because at the time war was in between philippines and japan. i m sure nothing electronic and nothing else just only doing manually. my mother born 1940, on the BC took my sister was in there 1944 we had a big problem. the officer gave us RFE she said only 1 month if they cant find it just issueing a letter stating they cant find the record. i talked my sister she said they wont do that issueing a letter..now my mother sendding a baptismal record the she born that year. so now my sister 2nd attempt again to fixed the BC to NSO and my sister said wait for friday let see what happen i was so worried cause only 1 month gave us she got interviewed april 09 and supposed to be may 09 the last day i worried about if we cant make it something like that they possibility mom got denied. i didn't called the 1800 if in case were late to submmit what gonna be happen. i m in the middle of no where i dont know what to do.

1. should i request the extension?

2. should i make a letter to the immigration?

i need you guys your opinion pls. help
