If your husbands income for 2009 wasn't enough to meet the requirements but he WILL earn enough in 2010 to meet them, then you should be ok. Make sure that his employment letter clearly states that he earns "X" amount - My employment letter says "_______ is an employee in good standing with an annual salary of ______." Then make sure that you include all of his 2010 pay stubs and that they will match up to that amount for the rest of the year. My 2009 salary was enough but half of it was earned on unemployment.

Don't they typically look for tax transcripts?

Nope...but it's a good idea to submit them anyway. The better the case you present to them, the more likely you are to pink the interview.

one post removed, one post quoting that post removed. contents of the post quoting pasted below as it was not a tos violation:

If she were to do this, would the consulate check with the IRS to make sure that what he made is true ?

What im saying is that, will consulate really know how much we made if a tax return with a "HIGHER" amount was given to them ? or is this just rolling the bones and they already have a copy and just want the fiancee to submit a copy anyways.

Do they check our yearly income ? or do they just go and believe in the figures thats given to them ?

for all concerned: do not suggest to anyone in vj that he/she redo their taxes so their income meets the income requirement. even with a qualifier of they may have worked jobs on the side, it seems to the average reader that fraud is being suggested.

Once you submit everything to NVC they'll calculate it so send as much information as you can to prove to them that his income will be adequate to support you. They may still ask for a co-sponsor but I doubt it. The whole point is to make sure you won't file for welfare after you get here . Include the other tax info from past years too and I think I'd include a letter of my own with the letter of employment from his boss showing my projected income for 2010 :) I like to send too much anyway (better than not enough).

Oh, and you're welcome...very best luck to you!

hi to all,

well i think we are stuck in this situation that make me feel depressed...we have I-130 approved.. my husband send the I-864 already together with the joint sponsor..last April 16, we received a letter from the NVC saying that my joint sponsor didn't include the IRS for 2009 my husband call my joint sponsor and he said that he didn't file for 2009. Now my husband is thinking to give up the joint sponsor and let him sponsor me unfortunately he didnt meet the income requirements...he gonna ask for a letter from his job and gonna send to the nvc.. IS there a posibility of denial on our petition eventhough he have a job?

we dont have anyone to help to sponsor me what should we do now??

we are already 2 years married.. i love him so much

any advice??

thasnk you very much

I'm so sorry to hear your mishaps. (F) Everything happens for a reason that's why this is happening to you and your husband. But all I can say is be strong and never give up on your love. This too shall pass. Pray!.
