Is it possible that you will have a manila case number then the NVC said they didn't received your case yet? I am expecting that since its 2 weeks since we got are reaffirmed NOA2 our case is sent already in Manila,now why my fiance called NVC today and they say they still don't have our papers.When he did called last april 12 and give us our Manila case no. !!I just wanna hear if there is a situation like us..

Sometimes they can have your case but it hasnt been logged into their system yet.So if you call they say they haven't gotten it yet give it a few more days sometimes it takes two weeks.Good Luck..

they could have already sent it out. they dont hold onto it very long. Have you called the embassy?

Once you call the NVC and get the MNL case # you are done with them... You now have to start calling the US Embassy in Manila and provide them with that case #...

My fiance did called the embassy last april 12 and they said they don't have it yet....so i told him let's wait a week and called NVC first to know when they sent it then Embassy..But now the NVC said called after 1 week...

When your fiancé talked to the NVC on April 12, how could the NVC give your fiancé an MNL# if the NVC did not have your packet yet? It's a mystery to me. Your fiancée should call the NVC again and ask them this very question.

Our case once landed in NVC coz we had an NOA2 dec.17,2009,but NVC sent it back to USCIS for review,then we had an RFE.What a strange case we have..And now again they give us case no.last april 12 and now telling us they don't have our packet yet?Can it be any more strange than that???

I'm getting so crazy over this!!!

Sounds like it could be in additional processing. That happened to us. They gave me an MNL number and said it should head for the embassy shortly, then a week later they still had it. Based on the VJ "stuck in AP thread" I finally asked if it was in AP and they said yes. And they couldn't say how long it would take. Lucky for us it was only a 2 week ordeal and then on to USEM MNL... Call and ask specifically if it's in AP.... they usually don't volunteer that info unless asked, then they put you on hold and come back and say...you're in or not in AP!!... Good Luck!

If you already get your Case Number, you don't have to worry about. Perhaps the representative that you talked to didn't had the information of your case.

It happens sometimes.

It also happen with the automated voice response, the response from live operator and the machine has almost a week differences.

Just because they give you a case number doesn't mean everything is fine. You need to verify it's moving or not. They do give you a case number and can put you in AP, and you can stay in AP for months. Check out the stuck in AP Post. It sucks to be in AP.....the NVC tells you nothing and has no answer as to when you'll be out.

Also,,,,,the automated voice response DOES NOT APPLY to K1 Visa Petitions.

I have visited the AP thread and it makes me more stressed out and so sad if ever we really are in that thing...

Now i wanna think there is a miracle,i will ask my fiance to call US embassy again tomorrow to asked if they have our papers and sked an interview,who knows its already there like what it states in the letter we received from USCIS...just trying to calm my self down,i feel like I am gonna have an heart attack with all the strange things and the delay that happened in our petition process :crying:If they say NO,then no choice wait and wait until we die :rofl:just kidding

Can anybody tell me if they received a letter like this from USCIS together with their NOA2???

When I first called the embassy for our appointment to ask if they had our file they said they had the electronic copy only and not the papers mailed from NVC yet.

The lady said I need to wait 2 weeks before I call again and wait for my fiancée to recieve a letter from embassy letting my fiancé know she can come for interview.

Instead of waiting 2 weeks, the next day I used the email form on the Manila embassy website. I gave them our MNL number and asked them if the recieved our file. Within 4 hours I got a reply by email. They said we have your file and you can call to make appointment.

Then I called and made the appointment. I asked the lady but what about the letter I am supposed to wait 2 weeks for. She said that's only a letter to tell her she can call to make an appointment and since you are making appointment now she can discard it.

They gave me appointment confirmation number and asked my fiancée's email where they sent her the interview confirmation. This one they said she needs to print to take to BDO for payment and also for entry on interview day.

If I would have listened to the first lady that said I needed to wait for the letter I would have wasted a few weeks at least. I'd recommend using the email form from the site to see if they have your case yet.

I am talking about NVC here,my fiance called them last april 12 to get our MNL case no.and they gave it..then we called embassy right after to ask if they have our case,they said not yet..We then decided to call NVC again to asked when did they shipped our case to manila,only to get an answer that they don't even received our case from USCIS How come they gave us a MNL Case number when they don't have it

MNL number is your case number and number used going forward after NVC. It's the number used by Manila embassy.

Yah i know that,but why is it that the NVC tells my fiance that the USCIS didn't send the petition yet to them and they don't have it yet and am just so confused that they gave us manila case number already..???
