Many OFW's were able to build their own houses during the time that the dollar is at 55-56, some benefited from it .

Gasoline was not too high before unlike today!

For me I feel like it works out either way. If the peso rises against the dollar then I feel that the economy in the philippines is beocoming more stable/better. So more business , I Hope it continues to grow, so more filipinos have work .

If they can ever get a reproducitive health bill out and get those guys some birth control/sex education that would really help the population and mean more work. I think in modern times most educated women there see this and don't have 3 -6 or more babies , instead just 1 or 2 that they can support. I feel so bad seeing all the kids on the streets, while the catholic church says "no " to condoms ! ha! but yet when they have all the kids starving on the streets the church is not there for them. Its just treated like "oh well"

So, I guess the government needs to get out from under religious rule, and do whats best for the people and not just whats best for 1 persons religion.

Agreed, I know a lot of filipinos are catholic, inc, muslim, etc, But they need to realize that so much religious ties to government is going to be bad, when someone is elected that is not of "your" religion

And then enforces the religion they believe in, rules on the people.

I think its sicking that a church can tell its people there who to vote for. Crazy!, the people should vote for who they feel will represent them and not who they are told to vote for.

The government needs to crack down on religious groups there, what if they take up arms? You never know!
