Tenure is a problem, but the Guv isn't even going there. He's asking for temporary (1 year) wage freezes and 1.5% contributions to their own health care. None of that is terribly out of line but school district after school district (with a few exceptions) are opting to lay off teachers instead of do that!

That's because they don't want to cut overhead, just keep new teachers from getting tenure. Board members are more worried about their perks, and their own salaries, than they worry about the students, or even the teachers. They really have the faculty trained like good little lap dogs for the commie left, same as the teachers have the students all brainwashed, don't they!

Only in America can some pay peanuts and then complain about the quality of workers and service.

How about actually paying the professionals adequately in order to attract and retain a higher quality of teacher? Surely even you of all douche-bags knows the saying of 'when you pay peanuts, you get monkeys'.

I do like how you beat on about capitalism but fail (epically) to use it, as it clashes with the tea-party prime directive. It's like walking into a car dealer and asking for a 7 series but only wanting to pay $5K for it. Get the idiocy?

Serious question, what the hell is wrong with people in Jersey? Have chemicals leaked into the water supply?

Q: Why did New Jersey end up with the most toxic waste dumps per capita in the US, while California ended up with the most lawyers per capita?

A: New Jersey had first choice.

I am being serious. While I understand it does not apply to everyone, why are there so many f-cktwits from that state in particular? Furthermore, actually think they are "cool" and "the ######".

I suppose NJ has it's share of good and bad but, I think for the most part people from NJ are the only thing I miss about the place.

There must be two sides to Jersey. We just seem to see and hear about the misfits.
