Limited Vacation, Which is better?

So I've already used up 8 days vacation on visiting my fiance. Since most of us are in the same boat with only limited vacation, if I end up having to chose, is it better to visit between NOA2 or go when the interview is scheduled so she can take in my passport to the interview? I know it is better to have as many visits and days physically together as possible, but I might not have that choice.

Thanks.

I would try to balance 'any red flags' against the 'number of trips'.

If you have red flags, then 'more trips' balances out things.

BUT - as to 'vacation days' - I dunno - If I were in yer shoes, I'd take an unpaid leave of abscence, instead.

If you have only visited her once for 8 days, then this is red flag. I would recommend you take the time and go to the interview versus a trip between. The VO may not look at her evidence that you have been twice, but if she sticks your passport under their nose they will take a look. Many members on various forum sites speculate about how much weight this has. Many feel that depending on your frontloading, the VO has already decided to give you pink or to grill you and dish out what they want based on the responses. Many people have gotten the pink (well, light orange) with only one visit and not being in Guangzhou for the interview. It is a balance of time available, finances and the lengths you are willing to go to get her here. I wish you luck!! Jia You!!

I am going to try use some unpaid leave if work will let me. I've actually been to see her 8 days late last year and 12 days in Feb (only 8 of which were work days). I don't think I have any red flags, but I am still hoping for one trip in May or June and one again for the interview.

xiè xie for your thoughts! :)

OH - you have 2 visits already? Sorry, I just assumed you only had 1. That changes my opinion, then.

Sure - I feel is OK to wait for the next trip, to be there a week before interview date. ACH/ACS time, IMO.

Good Luck !

Yes, I agree..the second visit is a game changer and should make things better. If you have pics of your and her with her parents, then you are also golden in the absence of other red flags. Go pink!
