i got my CGC through marriage...interview and it got approved 1 march 2010 and the card is valid FROM that date too...

my questions are:

1. since u must live in us 3 years before applying to citizenship, i been here as F-1 student 15 months before i turned into resident, does that count?

2. if i my my Con. Greencard is valid for 2 years SINCE 1 march 2010, When is it that i should apply for a 10 year card? :/

No - since being a permanent resident only.

As soon as 90-days before the expiration date on your PR/Green Card (not sooner and no later than the actual expiration date).

thanx in advance

No that doesn't count. You have to have your green card through marriage for 3 years before applying.

You should apply for your green card (10 years) within 90 days before the current GC expiration date.

If USCIS receives your case 1 day before that 90-day mark, your case will be rejected and sent back to you to do it again. There is no reason to try to beat the clock and send it on the first day possible. If it were me (and I were you), I'd mark my calendar on Jan 02, 2012 as the date to send in the I-751.

oooh i thought it was BEFORE the 90 days...

so its actually WITHIN the 90 days before the expiration date right ? :/

Yes - in your case, anytime between Jan 01, 2012 and March 31, 2012. (Don't come early and don't be late.)

1. No, as long as your status was something other than permanent resident, then nothing else counts... you start counting since March 1st 2010.

2. Your CGC is valid for 2 years and you NEED to apply for removal of conditions (form I-751) within 90 days from your expiration date (which happens to be 12/2/2011). USCIS needs to receive it during those 90 days or else it will be considered abandoned... so keep that in mind.

Upon approval of your I-751, USCIS will issue you a 10 year GC.

In a similar fashion, your eligibility for naturalization starts 90-days prior to your 3rd year residency anniversary assuming you are still married to the same USC and still living together.

hope this helps.
