K3 closed notification?

Just curious if anyone who applied after Feb 1st has actually received a notice that their 129f for the K3 was actually closed. I would think NVC would send a letter to state of the closure and to advise that the applicant is on the path to a CR1. Who knows...perhaps they're just administratively closing them and saying absolutely nothing?

I-130 NOA1 Notice Date per letter Feb 28, 2010

I-130 Touched March 2, 2010

I-130 Touched March 23, 2010 no e-mail despite e-mail alert on, thankful nonetheless!

Kids Register of Birth Abroad & passport appointment March 31st, 2010 approved.

I-129F NOA1 April 8, 2010 (Let's see what happens with this K3 application) ugh!

I-129F Touched June 15, 2010

I-129F RFE (our atty forgot to complete 2 lines)

I-130 Approved June 23, 2010 121 days from NOA1

I-129F RFE details Received by USCIS July 7, 2010

I-130 Case # at NVC obtained July 8, 2010

I-130 NVC sent affidavit of support and visa bills July 8, 2010

I-129F approved by USCIS and sent to NVC

I-129F confirmed received by NVC and per supervisor, it will be administratively closed

I-129F letter recvd of administratively closed K3 app Aug 2, 2010

I filed before February and my K3 was closed when both petitions (I-130 and I-129) arrived at NVC. I did not receive any notification - just spoke to an operator who confirmed that I am going CR1 route.

USCIS Journey

I-130 Sent: 12/08/2009

I-130 NOA1: 12/14/2009

I-130 NOA2: 02/26/2010

I-130 Approved in 74 days

NVC Journey

03-04-2010: NVC Case # assigned

04-03-2010: Case Complete per AVR

NVC Complete in 31 days

EMBASSY Journey

04-10-2010: Medical Exam Scheduled

04-13-2010: Medical Passed

05-06-2010: Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- Approved!

I-R Petition for Mother in Law

06-24-2013: Mailed I-130

06-25-2013: NOA-1

12-27-2013: Transferred to local office

02-07-2014: NOA-2

02-24-2014: USCIS Shipped package to NVC

04-07-2014: NVC # Assigned

Yeah, I heard from my immigration attorney that some of the K3 apps were closed even before the NVC posted the Feb 1st change. Hope things go well for your CR1 journey.

You originally asked about filing before 2/1/2010. That's not the important question. The question should be about those whose petitions arrived at NVC before or after that date. USCIS filing has no bearing as they would process the cases the same as they have since late 2006.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
