I am confused with Question 1 and 2 under Section D for form I130.

Looks to me, it is almost the same question.

Please help me out.

Here are the questions:

1. If separate petitions are being submitted for other relatives?

2. Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien?

No, they are not same questions. Please take a closer look at the language, tenses. First one is, if you are filing any other petitions at the same time and the 2nd one is, if you have filed any petition previously for this beneficiary or for any other alien.

1. Are you submitting separate petition(s) along with this one, at the same time? Like your spouse's children? If no, your answer is "No." This can be applicable when a petitioner files for both parents at the same time and in that case, the petitioner has to say yes on each parent's application.

2. If you ever filed any petition for this same beneficiary that you are petitioning now or for any other alien before, then the answer is 'yes.' In that case, you need to write down their names, service center that you filed, and the result of the petition (current status). If you have not filed for this beneficiary or any other alien before, then the answer is 'no.'

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

It is very clear to me now. Thank you very much.
