Pre-Existing Condition covered Inbound Immigrant Health Insurance

I've been in the US almost three months now and still looking for inbound immigrant health coverage that covers pre-existing conditions...anyone know of any?

Seven Corners doesn't cover pre-existing conditions.

Anyone have any advice?

I don't think currently any US insruance covers ANY pre-existing conditions. I could be wrong, hope someone knows a place that does cover pre-existing for you tho.

They did pass the bill or whatever to say that insurance has to insure you no matter what but that wont be put into effect for a while.

I am not sure if you will find someone now who covers pre-existing conditions after you have been without insurance coverage. I know that in order for my pre-existing condition to be covered by both Blue Cross Blue Shield and Cigna I had to have been insured right up to the time the coverage 'switched'. Fortunately, I had an overlap from my Canadian employment coverage combined with OHIP that covered me until I married and was added to my husband's coverage - but I did need to prove that I had coverage up until the day we married. If I hadn't, then I would have been covered for everything except what related to the pre-existing condition for one year before it could be covered.

The new health bill that was just passed will ensure that you can get coverage with pre-existing conditions but I am not sure if it is far enough along in its implementation to be of benefit for you yet.

You might want to see what is involved in coverage that exempts the pre-existing condition and see how long they will take before they will cover it, and plan to 'eat' the expenses involved in managing it for that time. Yeah, I know - that really does suck big time. Welcome to the US .
