Providing supplemental information to USCIS (not RFE)

Hi VJ-ers,

We applied for an I-131 (Application for Travel) for my husband at the same time as we submitted the application packet for AOS. At the time of submission we did not have the exact dates that he would need to travel, we just knew it would probably be in late September 2010. He is requesting to attend an event, the dates for which hadn't been announced at the time we had to mail our packet. We indicated in our letter that we would provide the exact dates as soon as we knew them.

Now we do know them, and I want to send a follow-up letter to USCIS stating what they are. What is the best way to do that? I will reference our receipt number, of course, but I also need to know exactly where to send it. I was originally thinking to the Chicago Lockbox, but the I-131 receipt has an address at the bottom, a P.O. box in Lee's Summit, MO. Is that the right address?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

There's virtually no way for a letter with this information to 'find' your case file. Even if there were, it isn't that big of a deal. Most everyone puts a ballpark in there in the event they need AP.

So basically we shouldn't bother? That's good to know - and much less hassle. Thanks for the info!
