Hello! I was hoping that someone who has gone through the procedure of obtaining a Passport Clearance Certificate from Ahmedabad, will share their experience. My spouse just recently obtained the Police Clearance Certificate and is about to go about to obtain the Passport Clearance Certificate. I've read much on the forums about how difficult it is to obtain one without a interview appointment letter from the NVC. Can someone who went through the procedure of obtaining the Passport clearance please tell me how they obtained one. Did you have to submit any documents? If so, what documents did you submit at the passport office in Ahmedabad? Was the barcoded letter from NVC enough to obtain the certificate?

Also, did you mail the original Passport clearance cert and original Police clearance cert to NVC? Is it okay to submit copies and to submit the original at time of interview? Please help. Any information will be appreciated.

Hi,

As for original vs copy, no, you must send them the original and also a photocopy - of every document. Keep a copy for yourself as well of course.

For your clearance question - this thread might help:
