We got a new kitten!

Almost all cats are beautiful! The only patterns I don't really like are the very 'marbled' tuxedos with dark coloured splotches - they come out looking 'mud-coloured' to me. Tuxedos are sweeties... The problem with pure white cats is that a lot of them are deaf due to a genetic mutation. So your sweet little white-furred, blue-eyed kitten might be deaf as a post and live a very short life if you let it outside... I honestly don't know why people don't like black cats - Tessie is very handsome and I love her tiny little 'brush' of white fur on her throat.

she's a cutie...and she has chosen a nice home to live in...

But you can forget those blinds... she'll have them all bent up, crawling in and out of, and around them...LOL

Too true... our cats have killed some of our blinds..

She is so cute.. I"m so glad that she found a home! :-) She looks like our black Hershey that we found in the garage of our last place... Except then he was a dark chocolate brown.. but now he's pure black with white whiskers... Cats are awesome.. lol we have four!

She is a gorgeous cat!! I read recently that shelters often have a hard time placing all black cats or dogs. She certainly is a very lucky girl, esp. to have such great people parents.

Funny how they kind of pick us (instead of the other way around), eh?

And PS I am the proud owner of a tuxedo! I just got off the couch and had to extricate her from my chest before I could.

Aw..she is so lucky and I'm glad that she has a safe home now...

We also have a cat that looks just like that except she has a white spot on her chest and also some white hair on her tummy. We name her Salem, after that black talking cat in Sabrina the Teenage Witch
