A small group of protestors, numbering fewer than 2-dozen shortly after noon, showed up at 12th & Commercial Thursday to protest taxes on this April 15 when federal income tax returns are due. Organizer Andy Stevens, a Tea Party supporter, said "Government needs to make some serious cuts." He said both Congress and Olympia are "out of control." He added that the government must operate within the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

When it comes to health care, Stevens told a reporter that government can't make one citizen a criminal for not buying health insurance. He compared that with driving while drunk, saying he didn't like the idea of someone being put in jail for not having health insurance.

Protestors carried a variety of signs, including "No more Chicago politics," "More taxes, less jobs," and "Give us back our country." Former Anacortes Mayor Dr. Bud Strom said, "I'm standing here because our freedoms are being eroded." He was waving an American flag.

Sorry Danno, but in a valley of nearly 120,000 people, in a town of with just over 14 thousand souls, under 2 dozen folks does not make an impressive showing of support. At least this is not a Faux News story, they would have inflated the crowd into the thousands.

If you don't see how Palin is a quitter, and a sell out loser, then I don't know what to tell you. It is as impossible to overcome Danno logic as it is to see why Col. Linguist even bothers posting.

I don't get your point.. are you suggesting that the Tea party crowd is really just a handful of people?

Washington is a fairly blue state but I am sure there are more than a Dozen Tea party folks up there, why don't you go to one or two meetings and report back what you found.

I don't think you will have trouble finding a group, on just one website I found this many in Washington.
