Not a chance. In case my point was made too subtly, there were actually 2 points. One directed helpfully to the OP. The other not.

Once again to the OP, welcome to America. Getcherself a little pink house to fit in with the rest of us.

I was just throwing him a bone. He loves chew toys.

Lufthansa might be flying tomorrow and British Airways might also, if weather conditions don't change. Haven't heard about Air France, though.

I feel for those people who just received visas and were planning to finally leave for the U.S. this week.

For the last couple of weeks my wife, who is undergoing AOS, was fretting that she wouldn't receive Advance Parole in time to allow her to return to Belgium to visit her parents this coming Wednesday as had been planned. No sooner had she received the long-awaited AP on Saturday than her concern shifted to whether her flight will be canceled due to the volcano. She's considering trying to change her flight to Spain, then take a train to Brussels. But we're keeping our fingers crossed that flights will resume a normal schedule by Wednesday.

It occurred to us that the flight cancellations could affect people whose I-94s are about to expire and NEED to leave the U.S. but have had their flights canceled. We wondered what the government expects them to do. Leave the U.S. to some destination that is still reachable, like Canada or Mexico? Could they get extensions on their I-94s due to a flight cancellation? Or would the government cut them no slack and take the position that one shouldn't book a flight that leaves on the very last day before their I-94 expires, since delays are always possible. Hmm.

A package comprising financials/relationship evidence for our upcoming interview was sent by my husband last week. It's been stuck in Koeln, Germany since Thursday morning. So much for expedited UPS fees!

I was just reading comments on BBC/CNN from people who were stranded in airports. This one guy had just received his K-1 and was supposed to fly to the U.S. this past weekend to get married next week. He's now stuck in Heathrow. Made me feel bad for him.

Yes, the fcuking volcano did affect me. I was stuck in Addis Ababa for a couple of days. After dealing with the completely useless KLM people in Addis, I ended up buying a one-way ticket on Turkish Airlines on Monday morning to get out via Istanbul. Just got home an hour ago. Delta and KLM have absolutely no concept of managing any unusual situation. Bunch of fcuktards.
