Hi!

I came to the U.S. with a K1 visa.

I already got married and send out the papers for AOS.

I am living in L.A. and now I would like to fly to Hawai with my wife for some days.

I shouldn´t have any problems since it is US territory, right?

Just wanted to double chcek cause so many people are posting stories that they had to fill out some extra papers in order to travel while they are waiting for their Green Card.

Hawaii is not only US territory, as Guam, the USVI, or Puerto Rico are, but it is the 50th State of the Union. Thus, you never leave the US unless your plane goes down and you're being rescued by a boat that heads off to some weird place where US flags don't fly. Then you're screwed for flying without the NOA1 at hand.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . Hawaii is a state. You can fly to Hawaii, just like going to Nevada or Oklahoma. It is a domestic flight and you do not go through customs, like you would on an international flight.
