How long is the wait for a waiver application at Bangkok to process

hello everyone,

Had my Visa appointment at the Sydney Consulate. My Visa was denied due to CIMT. Which is a crock of you know what.

Luckly I pre prepared a waiver and hardship letter and lodged it today.

They told me that it is processed in Bangkok, and that it will take between 3 and 6 months to process.

Can anyone out there give me a real life indication on what the wait will be for the waiver.

And also the Consular Officer said that the Sydney Consulate will be recomending that a waiver be issued. Is that normal that they do that? And does it hold any weight?

Thanks everyone

You have to declare all convictions, not an option.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
