We dont know the birthdate of my wifes parents just the year they were born so on the form I wrote /1943 and /1949, I was told that it was fine if you do that if we dont know thankssss

That is sufficient.

I think you need their DOB. Their birth place (city/ country) is not required.

If you do not have the full date - you can just put the year.

I was in a similar situation and had no issues with just the year for my Father in laws DOB.

They are more concerned about your information, not your parents (in this instance - the 325 is for the child, not the parent)

^^Agreed. I had no information on my parents (DOB or place of birth). I filled in my forms as "UNKNOWN" and had no issues at all throughout the process. Good luck!

Correct, if unknown, state "unknown" at least for parent information. This won't work for the petitioner or beneficiary or any children of beneficiary.
