interview successful! greencard approved!

so i just wanted to share my interview experience with everyone!

so me and my wife kim drove to the interview place for our 9am appointment, we got lost on the way there and miraculously ended up exactly where we needed to be 10 minutes before 9.

we went in, there was about 100 other people already there in the waiting room and i thought 'ugh great, better get comfortable we are in for a wait' and then literally 2 minutes later they called my name, which i thought was extremely strange but at the same time very awesome.

we were led to an office room by a very nice lady, she pulled out our file which was enormously thick.

we had prepared a whole folder of forms and letters and everything and we were prepared for a grilling...which we didnt get at all!

the lady looked through our file, checking off a few things here and there, asked us literally 2 questions (when did i enter the country, what have i been doing since i got here) and that was it! she didnt ask to see a single thing we brought with us. she left the room to make some copies, came back in the room and said 'you are my first approval today!' and stamped approved on my green card form, and also put in a 'processed for I-551 temporary evidence of lawful admission for permanent residence valid until 07/26/07 employment authorized' stamp in my passport so i could start working before my greencard actually arrives which is totally awesome.

we got out of the building at 9:10! definately a throughly easy experience, and my exact words to my wife before we went into the building after seeing the hordes of people, "why cant anything we do with immigration be quick and easy! just once, please!" haha i guess god was listening that day.
