I´m preety new to all of this and would like to get some of your expertise. I filed my I 130 on april 15th and according to usps it was delivered on the 17th, haven´t gotten my NOA1 yet but I guess is to soon but how do I get an e-mail confirmation?

G-1145 Petition Acceptance Form - In order to receive an email/txt message petitioner has to file this form with the application that has been sent/filed to lockbox facility.

Hey saw the March filers one and figured I start the April one. Basically just a post to discuss our newbie journeys for whoever has applied around this time. Here's my story/questions so far:

Story: I sent out my 130 April 1st and certified it through the post and it wasn't received til the 7th :-P My USCIS center is California and I'm still waiting on my NOA1. It has been 9 days :-( Hopefully I'll get it in the mail today! I've noticed it takes 7-12 days, so I'm still expecting to wait a little bit before freaking out.

Question: If my wait for the NOA1 passes the average wait time how do I contact USCIS without a receipt number. I just tried calling and they wanted me to enter a receipt number which is found on this form that I don't have yet. Also, has anyone else been waiting a little longer than usual??

Hi everyone

My husband and I also filed this month. We sent off our application to the Chicago Lockbox on April 15 and it was delievered on April 17. We received an email today (April 27) to say that our application had been received and sent to the California Service Centre. Is that the unofficial NOA1?

According to the VJ timeline, our application should be 'adjudicated' between July 11 and Aug 13. I'm guessing that's the timeframe for NOA2 (?) and our interview will be scheduled after that.

Do you think it is too early to go ahead and get the police clearance, even though I haven't received my NOA1 packet in the mail yet? I want to have as much ready as possible for the next stage of processing.

Hi Everyone,

I filed on the 26th of April and I am yet to receive my NOA1. However, when I checked today, I realized the money order has been cashed. I called the bank and was able to get a printout with the WAC#. I tried signing in to check status but it failed. I added 1 and bam it showed up. Now the question i have is since I recently became a citizen (February 26th) does this mean that I will breeze through with the background check?

Prayerfully hoping for a super expedited process.

Excuse my ignorance but when you say "touched" do you see a status change on the USCIS webpage, does it say touched somewhere or do you just see the date change?

My NOA1 received date was 4/21.

On 4/23 the online status changed to 4/23 and "initial review". Is that considered a touch and does a status of "initial review" have any significance?
