April 2010 CR1 Filers

Hey saw the March filers one and figured I start the April one. Basically just a post to discuss our newbie journeys for whoever has applied around this time. Here's my story/questions so far:

Story: I sent out my 130 April 1st and certified it through the post and it wasn't received til the 7th :-P My USCIS center is California and I'm still waiting on my NOA1. It has been 9 days :-( Hopefully I'll get it in the mail today! I've noticed it takes 7-12 days, so I'm still expecting to wait a little bit before freaking out.

Question: If my wait for the NOA1 passes the average wait time how do I contact USCIS without a receipt number. I just tried calling and they wanted me to enter a receipt number which is found on this form that I don't have yet. Also, has anyone else been waiting a little longer than usual??

did you send off to the chicago lockbox, or a california address?

I sent it to the Chicago Lockbox that was specified for CA.

We sent our application on April 3, we still did not receive our NOA 1 until now haist!

Using USPS express mail, I sent it to the following address:

USCIS Lockbox

Attn: SAI-130

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

I sent it on 8th April. I haven't seen cheak that's cashed yet, or not even an email/txt message for the acceptance of I-130 (G-1145 filed).

Is this the address that you all sent your application to. ?? ??

I'm from California and sent it non express using standard Post office to:

USCIS

P.O. Box 804625

Chicago, IL 60680-4107

PS- I sent it certified so I know someone picked it up on April the 7th and signed for it but still waiting for a NOA1 :-(

I sent a Money Order and it will cost me like $6 just to check if it's cashed so I'm going to wait a couple more days to see if I get the NOA 1 before I pay to check my money order status. I have a feeling these petitions sit for a bit untouched and when they get their hands on it they'll cash it and send off the NOA1's around the same time. I'm pretty sure none of our stuff is lost. Like i said I know they received mine because they signed for it, so I'm just waiting...just wish they would hurry up!

yes, that's the address we sent our application, I hope we could received the NOA 1 next week..

I sent my application on april 7 by priority mail and they received on 9th. Cashed my check on 16th. Using WAC # on cashed check, I saw they mailed me NOA1 on April 16th.

Yea!!! I got my NOA1 today on the 17th!! Luckily cuz they spelt the street name wrong here. Does anyone know what to do to rectify this? Guessing I just call them. Good luck to the rest of you and I'll keep you April filers posted on the next steps :-)

GUYS,

Any update on NOA 1. We have our checks cashed but haven't seen any activity of G1145 email/txt. Neither actual NOA-1 in the mail. Also, the WAC no. from the back of the cashed check is also not showing any information online.

So anyone in the same boat who are still waiting for their NOA's. Post your timelines.

I´m preety new to all of this and would like to get some of your expertise. I filed my I 130 on april 15th and according to usps it was delivered on the 17th, haven´t gotten my NOA1 yet but I guess is to soon but how do I get an e-mail confirmation?
