Seems like the Fiancee has alot of travelling to do before we are in each others arms, she is from Hilongos, Leyte and her travels are as follows:

1st trip, fly from Leyte to Manila(Round trip)for Medical

2nd trip, fly from Leyte to Manila(Round trip)for Interview at the Embassy

3rd trip, fly from Leyte to Manila(Round trip)for CFO

4th trip, fly from Leyte to Las Vegas (One way) to be united forever.

The first three trips will of course include her staying at the BOCOBO HOTEL, Pocket Money and her sister accompanying her since I dont want her to travel alone....

Alot of expenses but well worth it, anyone else on the same boat as I am as far as travelling to Manila for the requirements ? any suggestions to make this more efficient?

Well, as long as the medical would go without a hitch, she could do the medical and interview in one trip...in a week's time....she could even attend the CFO seminar while waiting on the visa interview. She would just have to register with the CFO after she gets her visa. This may be more cost effective in the end. The only thing that could throw a wrench in that plan is if the chest xray wasnt clear.

I am glad that Mhay was only like 2 hours from manila...she did end up making a few trips. We did a trip for her medical..she had to go back to get her immunizations after her period.....then she went to her interview recently....and will have to go back to register with the CFO to get her sticker after she holds her visa. Not to mention the 2 trips it took her to get her passport renewed. (i think she did 6-8 trips in all to manila...to include her to leave to come with me) It is a lot of travelling for them to get a visa finalized.

Best of luck to you and your fiancee!

Yeah, but you can't control where you meet them from...just have to follow your heart. Your fiancee doesnt have any family in or around Manila does she?

WOW!so many plane ride to make,I'm glad I'm just in Pampanga, coz i have a baby to always bring everywhere i go!.why not include her CFO seminar on the days of her medical nor after her interview...I believe she have to have a stamp of CFO sticker in her passport, proof that she attended it.How can she get it if her flight will be direct leyte to Las vegas???just wondering??coz she will only get her passport few days or weeks after she passed her interview???

Hi, i'd like to inquire what tests they conduct or perform during the medical? would it take longer than a day? How soon can the results be released granting the medical is clear?

Merlaine is going to fly from Leyte to Manila and spend about a week. Her interview is on the 18th next month so she's gonna fly the week before, get her medical done on the 11th or so, then interview, then CFO - fly back home and wait on the visa - Then she'll fly to Manila a day earlier than her US flight to get her CFO sticker.

Do you know if I can have my fiancee take her medical 5 or 6 days before the interview ?

I see that you will have her do her CFO after her interview, will she not need to have her passport with her at the CFO ?

My honey is from the Philippines but works in Kuala Lumpur, she was pretty worried about having to take a lot of trips but evidently her mom is authorized to do a lot of the things that she needs to in the Phils. and her human resourses person where she works is taking care of a lot of the paperwork for Malaysia as well.

Needless to say she is very happy about this...

Yeh teamster, I guess you're right. I'm still reading all of this but I guess she'll need to do the CFO on her way here because she needs the visa with her. I thought for some reason, that she could do it they way I wrote first.

I could have sworn she could do the CFO in advance of the interview. Maybe someone else can clear it up.
