Hello, I have a question about the G-325a form. I am filling this form out to bring my wife from the Philippines. She has never been in the USA or outside the Philippines. I looked at the example on this website, but it did not apply to my situation.

In the upper right-hand corner there is a box to put the File Number A??? Do I leave this blank for now or somehow request a number?

Also, in the box with the thick border it asks for the Alien Registration Number. Again, do I leave this blank for now or somehow request a number?

Thanks!

Do not EVER leave a question blank as this can result in an RFE. File Number A is for an Alien Registration number just as in the box at the bottom. If the USC petitioner when completing their G-325A has never had an A number issued, ie was born in the US, they can put N/A. The beneficiary when completing their G-325A, if never previously been issued an A number, ie never applied for immigration before or been issued a work visa eg, then they put NONE. An alien registration number will be issued to the beneficiary during this process.

As Aussie says, never leave any area blank. Your wife's G-325 should write "NONE" on both areas that you are referring.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

My fiance' is in a small town in Siberia and we're trying to get her G-325A form completed and over here so I can file. Can the form be submitted on A4 paper? The dimensions are roughly 8.25 x 11.97 so a little of the print is chopped off. Any hints on how to accomplish this if it must be on 8.5 x 11 paper.

I've talked to Fed X, DHL and UPS. There quickest delivery time to this city is 25 days not to mention $104.00.

Thanks,

Eric

I had the same problem with some of David's copies from Germany... Thankfully, the things he sent could be copied to 8.5x11 without losing any of the text. I'm not sure it's an issue... just BE SURE that she fills out ALL FOUR COPIES of the G-325A... they are identical with the exception of the footnoting on the bottom... and all of the pages have to have original signatures. At the price of sending those documents, you don't want to make any mistakes.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
