This is only my second day on this sight. been reading a lot and very helpful people and threads. I have read many accounts of interviews that got approved. I read one about a denial, but was later over-turned.

Another because admitted to drug use. My eyes are a little sore from reading so much, so i thought I would just ask.

Any stories out there about a fiance failing an interview? Not because of drugs or other obvious reasons.

I'm new to the site, and at the infancy stage, but I would like to be prepared if we decide to take the next step. Any info. would be appreciated. That way I can coach her what and what NOT to say. I am a little worried because my girl is not a chatter box. She is a little shy, reserved and conservative. NOT the typical Brazilian from what I've read and seen. Which is good because I'm a little conservative also and I can talk enough for both of us.

I guess the fiance interview is similiar to a job interview. You have to seem knowledgable, enthusiastic and sell yourself. My first impression when we started talking that she was a little cold. She has warmed up some but is still not a big talker/writer. I am worried that if she was interviewed, the interviewer might seem raise some red flags because she is not overly emotional and her answers are usually very short and direct.

Do you guys think that being shy and reserved at the interview would hurt her chances?

Ya I guess maybe you're right. From what I've read is that we have to prove a legitimate relationship. Going to Brasil next week and plan to collect all the documents i can i.e. ticket stubs , photos, receipts, etc. From what I gathered having this stuff doesn't automatically prove to them that their is a relationship. There is still the human element, (interviewer). IMO it would seem more legit if the woman was all emotional and the like. I can't see my girl being like that to a stranger, especially in a strange place and all that pressure. Don't mind me, if my worries sound ridiculous. New to this stuff and a little nervous. OR maybe i drink TO MUCH coffee and should cut back.

From other posts in other threads and this one, you seem to be confusing evidence of having met with evidence of ongoing relationship.

The documents you mentioned above in your post will be proof of having met your fiance within the past 2 years and should go with I-129f (and, of course, a passport picture of each of you, letters of intent to marry and G325a's).

Proof of ongoing relationship is required later in the process at the interview. This, together with the proof that she'll not be a financial burden to the U.S. government (see I-134 for that), her not being ineligible to immigrate, and the way she handles the interview are the factors that will count as to whether the visa will be granted or not.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
