This might have an obvious answer- I'm hoping so!- but it isn't obvious to me.

On the N400 form, there's the question about schools attended. I attended three different community colleges a few years back (F1 visa).

With each college, I dealt with the I-20 through the head office, but for convenience, I always chose to attend the local branch nearest to where I lived.

(I've moved a few times, hence several colleges.)

So here's my question: which address do I put down on the N400? The ones I physically took all my classes at, or the head offices/main branches that dealt with all my immigration needs?

Again, I am sorry, but I couldn't find this question or answer anywhere, so thought I'd post my own.

Thanks for any help.

The N-400 is concerned with since you became a LPR... so I don't think you need to include that since you were on F-1 visa. If you are filing based on the 3 year rule, then you need to convert every question with 5 years to 3 years...

The form alwaya asks you since you became a LPR, not before.

Thanks so much for the replies.

But I'm looking again at my form, and it specifically says "within the last five years."

Is there something I've missed where it mentions an exception for the three-year rule- as that is indeed what I'm basing my application on?

It's just that it clearly asks for five years' worth of information, and I don't see any note about doing otherwise. When filling it in, do I simply stop at three years ago?

The advice is very much appreciated, I just need to see this for myself!

If it says 5, you can cross it out and write in 3.

Since you are applying based on a 3 year marriage to USC, then you have to apply 3 years to every entry that asks for 5 years....

3 years, 5 years, twenty years, what difference does that make? I just copied everything off my wife's G-325a, so it took a couple of extra blanks and a couple more minutes. Just feel more is better than none.

Now for days out of the country since becoming a LPR, that is all they got and cared about.
