Hi VJ folks!

I finally got my biometrics appointment letter for 2 weeks from now. Just wondering if anybody's tried doing early walk-in at the Dallas office (on Whitehurst). The USCIS website says appointment only but I read that some other ASC that says appointment only as well actually let people do walk-ins. Just thought I might ask around first. If I get at least one success story then I'll go try my luck. If not, I'll just wait for my appointment (though impatiently).

Thanks!!

I'm keeping a blog detailing this journey!

Why don't you try walk in? Itz possible on how crowded people in ASC. You should go there 8:00AM if it is nearer your place. Just walk to the counter (be sure your cell might be turned off all the time) and show your appointment letter and saying come to take biometrics. Make clear (but not make them dried)/ not worn all of your fingertips before you go.

Walk-in and/or Early Biometrics is possible; however, it depends on the ASC location and the supervisor of the location since all of them are private-owned. Standing as the first person in the line doesn't give you any guarantee they will let you in. My location was ASC Atlanta. I was there 6:30am in the morning, was the first one in line when they open at 8:00am and they denied to let me me in to have my biometrics taken early. But, it wasn't the end of the story, I went back to work, then came back at 12:30pm (lol ... my boss let me out early) ... they let whoever doesn't have the appointment on THAT DAY stand in other line ... it was unbelievable but it was true. I stand outside until 3:15pm when nobody came for their appointment that day anymore, they let us in... and the place closes at 4pm.

In the end, I have my biometrics taken 2 weeks early on 6/23 (scheduled 7/3). Goodluck and I hope you got out something from my experience.
