No matter how you but it she wants Money ???? WHy can't she work and support herself till she gets here and also save so that when she can't work for 3-6 months she has some of her own money. I find it demeaning to ask for money from my husband.

As for her english, I would say she has a great handle on it she spells words that for some people would be very difficult.

RESPONSIBILITY !!!!!!!!! VOLUNTARILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what the OP intentions were nor do I want to judge her. But somethings have been posted here about her english and the words she used. This reminded me of something. If she is living in the phillapines then enlish is her second language. If she is anything like my fiance who also speals english fluently then the problem with her post could be the words she picked.

Quite often my fiance and I used to fight because of things he would say to me. What we both later realized was that in his thought process he thinks of something he wants to say in arabic and then translates in into english. The problem is when you translate it, you lose alot in the translation and what you say could end up meaning something else. This could be how she came up with the word "responsibility", maybe in Tagalan, its another word, and for lack of a better word she used that one?

Excellent point.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I don't think any of this would have become such a big and confusing situation if the original poster's timeline hadn't indicated that they had basically just met or if she hadn't changed her screen name immediately after posting . . . not only were we confused by the strange wording of the original question (responsibility) but the quick name change, etc. just added to the weirdness of the post.

hi everyone, just want to ask if it's ok to ask for monthly support from your fiance or just wait for him to send voluntarily? or just wait for him to realize it's a responsibility or is it a responsibility really for a fiance to give monthly support? - aix

Oooh yes, it's definitely his responsibility and you shouldn't even have to ask, because

as you know, Americans have SO much money they don't know what to do with it.

They never have to work because everything is handed to them on a silver platter,

and the streets are paved with gold.

Is it ok to ask? Honestly, it seems pretty damn presumptuous to me. That said, I am not you, I don't know you or your fiance. What works in your relationship sure as heck wouldn't work in mine. I guess you'll just have to 'go with your gut' on this one.

No, it is NOT a 'responsibility' for a fiance to give financial support. So if you're waiting for him to magically come to that realization, expect to wait a VERY long time...! :clock:

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Is your relationship about money? If so, I hope he realizes it in time. If not, you don't need to ask him. You should be ashamed of yourself. RED FLAG RED FLAG RED FLAG!!!!!!

 I agree its a red flag. I think the USICS is trying to prevent these sort of red flags.

Hey! I have a great idea! PM me your fiance's name and phone number and I'll ask him for you!
