I would think that if her intent was sincerely just mistakin in her motives and she wasnt trying to manipulate she would have explained or clarified a long time ago. Instead she lurks in the shadows trying to get a bit of justification or insight.

It's not customary in the U.S. for fiancés to support each other financially, though sometimes it does happen.

You seem to have gotten engaged kind of quickly, and that throws up red flags for some people, because there are always worries about fraudulent marriages. (It's an interesting question why no one is wondering whether the guy was fully honest here, but hey, I'm sure American men always have the best intentions when searching for foreign brides, right?)

You're not entitled to support, and not all Americans are rich. That said, this is the sort of question that should be between you and your fiancé; he should know if you expect him to send money and/or support your family, or if you're in desperate financial need. It's a talk the two of you need to have. But there isn't a presumption in favor of him sending money to you. Good luck.
