After obsessively checking my case online for the last 5 days since my biometrics (July 29), I was surprised to see my EAD was approved today and they are mailing out my card. This may be the happiest day of my life (well, ok, second to our wedding day :P )

Does anybody know what it depends on when you get approved? My biometrics were in June and so far I have heard nothing about my EAD or AOS. Some visajourney members like Jea and others had their biometrics a month after mine and got approved already or have their cards in hand. I am worried that my case is lost in somebody's desk. :(

I've been doing the same thing since we went July 27th! I wanted some touches, but if you got an approval without touches, that's even better!

6/27/06 NOA dates for I-130, I-131, I-765, I-485

7/17/06 received biometrics appt notice

7/27/06 biometrics completed

9/7/06 AP approved

9/13/06 EAD approved

11/6/06 received appointment notice for Dec 19th

12/19/06 Interviewed, approved, received stamp in passport

Its good to hear that people are getting EADs quite early from MSC. They just updated their processing time website, and the date is May 8th, which is 3 days after what it was 2 weeks before. Hopefully these EADs mean that they're making some effort to clear the increasing backlog.

I hope so, I really don't want to have to drive 3 1/2 hours to get an iEAD to avoid losing my job!

Congratulations!

My EAD was apparently approved and sent out as well.. our postman/mailman was nice enough not to deliver it and returned it to USCIS (see timeline). If you have any doubts about your postman ensure your name and house number is on your mail box in big giant font and/or talk to the postmaster/postman before you expect delivery!

I can’t even begin to tell you how insanely angry I am at the postman for what they did! I been here almost 8 stupid months, ran over a stupid deer, got screwed by the garage and insurance company… got married, survived on my wife’s sole income and gradually saved enough to pay the insane filing fees, filed everything, got screwed by our landlord!!!.. waited and waited.. got an RFE.... found a joint sponsor which wasn’t easy at all!!!.. then EAD gets returned to USCIS by the postman! The b@stard.. I could wring his neck! :(

Sorry for the long drawn out post but.. I hope no one else has this happen to them! Maybe it should be added to the guides to have a good relationship with the postman/post office or have your name printed big and clearly on your mailbox!
