Hi all,

Yes, please read the following link about the Instrcution packet which you will receive it by mail from NVC.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...types_1309.html

DS 230 has two parts, part I and part II. For some countries' applicants both part must be submitted along with all documents to NVC. Then NVC will schedule the interview in the US Embassy of the beneficiary's country. Those countries are: Lebanon, UAE, Canada, Turkey, Philippines, the whole continent of Africa. Part I must be signed and dated by the beneficiary, but the part II must not be signed, as the consular officer will ask the beneficiary to sign the part II during the interview. Applicants from rest of the countries need to submit only part I to NVC along with beneficiary's passport biographical information pages (photocopy) and will need to take part II during the interview. Again, part II must not be signed and the consular officer will ask the applicant to sign part II during the interview. In this case, the US Embassy will schedule the interview and notify the applicant by mail.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
