Hello everyone,

My step-father and brother have their B-2 interviews at Cairo Consulate on April 21st, 2010. Their visit will be only for 10 days the most since my brother has his final college exams in May and my step-father has limited vacation days at work.

I have a few questions:

- What are ALL the forms do they have to fill out?

- What kind of proof does the embassy want for them having 'ties' to go back to Egypt? For example, should my step-father present a letter from his workplace stating that he has to be back to Cairo on XX-XX-2010 and should my brother present his university exam schedule?

- What kind of questions are they going to be asked at the interview? For example, the purpose of their visit is to attend our religious marriage ceremony, will they be asked where the ceremony is going to to take place? Or is it going to be the same kind of questions I was asked on my K1 interview?

- John and I wrote an invitation letter for both of them...do we need to send them anything else?

Thanks in advance!

Aya

Embassy page has comprehensive information for tourist and other visas: http://cairo.usembassy.gov/consular/niv1.htm

Follow their guidance.

For questions - yes, I'd expect them to ask where is the ceremony being held, who will attend... For brother, definitely take along exam schedule, for dad letter from employer giving him vacation days to go visit you and also state when they're expecting him back at work.

If more family members are staying behind, show proof of that - marriage certificate, family list...
