I went for my interview on the 11th Janaury 2010 and was advised I had been referred for a 'Waiver of inelgibility' due to something on my record from 11 years ago. I was advised this would take 4-6 weeks. I am still waiting 90 days on and due to take my young children to Disney World on the 29th April 2010 and still nothing. I have e-mailed the Embassy and phoned them every week and yet they cannot advise me of anything. I don't know what to do. Please can someone advise me of what to do next.

Thanks

The US DHS (Department of Homeland Security) as sole authority for granting or denying waivers. It sounds like its hung up in some stage of processing for who knows what reason.

Not sure how to give it a boost. Since your not a USC I doubt there is an option of contacting a US congress person to try to get more info.

Hopefully someone who has dealt with a similar issue will come along with some advice.

Did they give you any kind of reference number for your case? Maybe you can try calling the DHS.

I'm not sure if this is the correct number for your type of case but here is a number for the National Customer Service Center I found on the DHS Website:

1-800-375-5283

If they cannot help maybe that can get you to the correct department that can. Wish I could be of more help but I've never dealt with something like this before.

Hi Leedsbelle, welcome to VJ, were you told at your interview that you had been denied due to a previous infraction and you would need to file an I-212 to amend this ? Did you file one ? If so you should be able to track your case on the uscis website, as so many people on here are doing right now. You will find some good people here who are going through the same thing and will be quite willing and able to help you

I have also seen the question asked elsewhere, pretty sure the response was to cancel the trip, but this was a few months ago.
