AGE DIFFERENCE

I am 14 years older than my hubby.

We applied for a K1 and it was returned to USCIS after a horrible interview.

I now know I should have gone with him, but it was hard because of work and other things here. We married in October in Jordan about a month after the bad experience. I KNOW age is what the CO held against us, although the 221g doesn't say that. It was in the things she said to him.

Now, I have made 2 more trips there (one 45 days, one 16 days) and I will be at the interview. I have printed the first page of EVERY conversation we've had online since the day we met (and we talk every day). I also have all my phone bills and evidence of the numerous text messages we send every day (averages about 60 a day, sometimes more). We also have about 3000 pictures now from my time in Jordan with him. I will take every piece of paper I have to take to prove we are real. But what I really hope is that the CO can LOOK at us and see how we feel. Our friends and family say it's clear in our pics and when we are together... so I hope the CO sees it too.

If it was age, marrying him would not cvhnge that and CR-1s are subject to approval also. The solution for a denied K-1 is not always to marry the person. I hope it works out for you but I think better documentation is what you need, not a marriage certificate.

This is not a comment but but own question but it is on topic.

Just got an RFE, It was a stupid mistake and did not mark box 11 on I-129F.

With the RFE they sent page 1 of my 129 form that they had be marked on. At the top in the remarks is "18 YR Age Dof" or at least the best I can tell the last 3 letters. Our age diferance is 18 years.

My Question is : Is this a common remark?

No one here could possibly tell you since almost no one sees the I-129f after it is sent, unless it is sent back.

It would appear the person is making notes of interest. An 18 year age difference is a note of interest. I would imagine the adjudicator is not the first to comment on it...right? I bet some of your friends and family also have. I would, but I really don't care what other adults decide to do.

It is not a reason for denial in itself and USCIS does not approve or deny visas in any case. It is not a reason to deny a petition and yours will not be denied for this reason. The note will be on the papers which are sent to the consulate who will also no doubt notice the age difference.

If you were expecting to go through the process and not be asked about it, that would fall into the realm of unreasonable expectations. If you have not prepared for this, that would fall into the realm of negligence. You will likely be asked about it multiple times until she becomes a citizen. Prepare accordingly and you will be fine

Prepare your interview documents and proof of relationship carefully and completely and sleep well.

I did not attend, but might suggest you do if needed. Work on establishing a factual relationship to overcome any objections, with plenty of evidence.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
