Hi,

You might want to check out the Canada forum here on VJ. Lots of country specific information there.

Generally it is taking 3-4 months to get an interview in Montreal right now, sometimes longer.

3 months from the time they get your packet 3 till they tell you your interview date?!....or 3 months to wait for the interview once they've received your Packet 3

hmmm...well like i said...I sent mine April 6th...normal mail...supposedly takes 4 days...that was over a week ago and of yesterday the lady claimed they still hadnt gotten it......I suppose I'll call again today on my lunch break and see because it's been over a week. If it is, then yes, I too will call sometime in the beginning of May for an interview, if they haven't assigned me one.

I hope it comes soon for all of us!!! I was talking to an English guy at the airport a few weeks ago and explaining to him the whole process and he was shocked. He made a good point of wondering why MTL or any canadian consulate was so lag on their times considering canadians don't have to apply for as many visa's as other countries, examples we get TN visa's which don't go thru the Consulate and students don't go thru the consulate either. You would think that would make them less busier than other countries!!! Good Point I thought!!! Last summer when everyone supposedly quite and they were behind by 6-7 months but come on guys get some people in their and working. You only do interviews in the morning till 11 what do they do the rest of the day? Ok thats my rant Ha Ha

Apparantly (from what I was told) the last interview is scheudle for 11 so they could take all day I guess depending on the complexity, but seriously I still think the TAT's are a little ridiculous.
