K1 Visa "Packet 3" Question

Hello again!

Sorry for making a new topic, so quickly, however this next question is not related to my original topic and I wanted to ensure that it gets the right attention with an accurate title.

My question is, are either the "Form DS-156 NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION" and "Form DS-156K NONIMMIGRANT FIANCE (E) VISA APPLICATION" applicable to a Canadian filing for a K1 Visa? I have just received my letter from the Vancouver Embassy in Canada instructing me to download instructions online that list various documents I will need to bring to the interview. It stated in the instructions that I should only obtain/complete the forms that are applicable to my case. I am unsure if either of the two mentioned above are. A lot of the questions in the first document don't seem to relate to a person moving to the US to marry an american, so i'm starting to think that perhaps these documents do not apply to me, and are not required.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated, and again thank you in advance!

Hi,

I'm actually going through London, so I can't advise on Canada requirements, but the following link is for the Vancouver Embassy page on VJ - should tell you which forms are required, as well as provide links to the embassy webpage where you can find the current information:

Hope this helps, and good luck!

In montreal they used 156 and 156K and DS-160 back in august.

Not sure about Vancouver but you would likely get more answers if you posted in the canadian forum section for such a specific question.
