hi friends!

I'm in the process of AOS....finaly

I was pregnant when i enter u.s. so i didn't have vaccination during my medical thingy..

I knew that i need to do medical again becos it's been over a year now since I enter u.s. (and a little late to file for AOS)

now my question is, can i do my vaccination on a health center here in our town? and how much do i have to pay for medical procedures? I found list of civil surgeon around my area but i don't know if they would credit a vaccination from health center.

Do i have to bring the I-63 form to the surgeon?

pls help

thanks guys

As long as you get a record of your vaccination being done the CS will accept them, no matter where they are done. The cost is based on where you go, so I don't know that anyone can tell you what you will pay, really depends on your doctors in that area.

Our civil surgeon had no problems if we went to our local health dept for the shots (we asked!). I believe most docs will tell you to go there since most local doctors do not stock all the required shots at their office. Our local health dept. had all the shots in stock. We got the shots and simply gave our civil surgeon the receipt as proof.

Yes, we had to take TWO separate I-693 forms to the doctor. We had to fill in the information part only (name, address etc.). The doctor will seal one I-693 in the envelope for you to send, the other was a backup in case USCIS loses it.

good luck

congrats on the pregnancy :star:

You can do your vaccinations at a local health center, just leave the I-693 to be filled and sign by a USCIS Civil Surgeon. However, try to inquire first because when i had my I-639 preparation and obviously needed 2 more shots (coming into K1 entry), i both inquired at local health centers, private and USCIS CS... to my surprise, it appeared cheapest to have it done with the CS itself. Of cors, after calling like 17 CS in my area. I'd say its a matter of finding one that charges reasonable. And the local health center is higher by 10-15 bucks. Now, if u think its a reasonable price then go ahead. The CS should accept it as long as its your vaccincation record. I did specifically asked that to CS i inquired then and no problem doing it to other clinics.

hope all goes smoothly. B-)

best of luck!

it appears that ur medical is already past 1 year old (based on ur timeline)... if u file aos with ur medical still valid then ur good to go.... but now, yes, u need a new medical (as far as i know). i would not wait for USCIS to tell me...otherwise u may get RFE hence delays of AOS process...(but thats just me B-) ).u can inquire to ur CS too...if the price is good- u can do medical as well as the I-693 to the same CS. :star:
