translation of marriage/birth certificate

ok so now another dilemma....

i recently asked my husband to get a new birth cert. coz they had lost the old one. he got one in urdu and another in english. when sending in these 2 to NVC, do i have to send the letter signed by the translator for the one in english?

but the translation is attested and signed/stamped....

i have the same issue with the marriage cert., it's in urdu and translation is attested and signed stamped...

is the letter """Translation is accurate, and; Translator is competent to translate"" necessary??

IR-1 / CR-1 Visa

2010-04-19: approved online wohoooo

2010-04-24: NOA2 hardcopy received

2010-04-26: gave 2 email addresses and assigned case #

2010-04-27: received/sent ds3032, AOS bill

2010-05-01: IV bill became available online/paid

2010-05-06: sent in DS230 package via express mail 9:07am

2010-05-11: NVC acknowledges the receipt of AOS on 05/05

2010-05-13: operator told me that AOS sent to supervisor for review....

2010-05-14: AVR changes to received the checklist letter response on 5/13

2010-05-23: RFE for original birth cert. (i did sent original).......arghhh

2010-05-24: BC under review by some department

2010-06-02: sent in original BC again and previous BC is still under review

2010-06-10: NVC recognizes BC into their system

2010-06-15: BC under review

2010-06-21: SIF!!!!!omggggg soo happy 57 days in NVC process

2010-06-28: interview on Aug. 19, 8am.

2010-08-19: interview went fine but he's put into AP :(

2011-01-09: almost 5 months in AP "still pending"

2011-02-06: 5 and half months and still counting......when is this torture going to end....

2011-02-20: 6 months still no answer..........

2011-03-08: more than 200 days passed in AP..................(

2011-03-24: visa has been issued today. hurayyyyyyyyyy finally wait is overrrr.

2011-03-26: got the passport wohoooo

For the beneficerary info, it is not necessary to translate documents if the documents are in the official language of the consulate where the interview takes place.

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!

You dont have to signed/stamped by translator...I never have problem with NVC ,USCIS or embassy. Just simply send them urdu enaglish together and will be not a problem. Jsut make sure english translation is same as urdu....Goodluck

Translation Requirements

All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator that states that the:

* Translation is accurate, and

* Translator is competent to translate.

wait, so if i'm sending the originals y the copies have to be notarized?

so the copies have to be stamped and signed as they r on original documents?

no - photocopies of the original documents DO NOT need to be notarized.

Slow down, take a deep breath, follow those instructions.

It's:

1. original OR certified copy (certified from the issuing entity) and

2. photocopy .
