Hello All,

I went to US via K1 visa on Jan 14, 2010 and applied I-485 for adjustment status. I had an interview with USCIS office in this afternoon at 2:30 PM and the interview went well. However, the IO said that she had not made any decision yet and would give us the result within 2 months since she needed time to review our documents. I saw the result in the interview sheet, that she asked me to sign, is "Further review". At 5:20PM, same day, i received email from USCIS (auto email when changing any status in my case) that: Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Current Status: Card production ordered.

So surprised but happy. Does anyone know if i was approved for green card 2 years or not? If yes, how long will i receive welcome letter and physical green card via mail?

PS: i did receive EAD two weeks ago.

Thanks in advance.

That would certainly seem to indicate that you had been approved. :)

For us it took 2 weeks to get the letter and 3 for the GC-but most everyone else I knew of around the same time had theirs sooner.

Congrats!

Thanks Trillium13.

Does anyone have the same my situation? I am just afraid that it was a mistake from USCIS when updating their system ....

I would agree, you're approved.

In order for that kind of notice to go out,

somebody has to consciously send it.

I doubt if it would be an automated computer glitch.

Congrats!

Good news! I think you will receive the green card in about two weeks!

I went to my 2-year green card interview yesterday too! The officer told me I passed the interview but my case was not approved, because due to some clitch at FBI, my name check wasn't done yet! I was very worried the entire day! However, this morning, right after 8 o'clock, I got the sms update on my case! I checked my status and the card production was ordered!!! I don't know why all these immigration officers sound so difficult, or there might be something wrong with their green card processing system! Anyway, stop worrying and you will get the card soon!

They usually like to pad their time estimates 2 months is probably standard regardless of the "further review" required. Maybe there was just one thing she wanted to verify, and didn't want to do it while you were in the office, or she needed to ask her supervisor about it. Got that one easy thing cleared up and then approved it.

Sounds like a nice surprise to me! :)

Ours took a bit longer than a week from approval to green card in hand.
