I have a feeling that she is still delusional and thinks she has even a chance at being president.wacko.gif

I also am pretty sure she doesn't give a rats azz about us so fat chance complaining.

Like any politician, what she cares about are votes.

Unfortunately, you'd have a tough time making a case that doing anything about the gross unfairness at many US consulates would net her any additional votes. Most people who have a strong opinion about immigration are mainly concerned with the immigrants who can walk to the US. The only people who really care about what's going on a US consulates are the people who have to deal with those consulates, and we are a tiny minority of the voting public.

You could try to garner attention for our cause from the general public, but you'd probably get the same reaction from people on both sides of the immigration issue. Those who favor immigration reform a la amnesty would say "Why should I care about your wife or fiancee in Vietnam? Jose and his family are already here, and they're starving!". Those who favor strict immigration controls and enforcement would say "It's really hard to get a visa in Vietnam? Good! That's how it ought to be!". I don't think there's much sympathy out there.

After talking with Frank, this entire NOID thing seems like a crock of #######. My first impression is that on a person’s first petition if they let the case expire they are not giving the USC due process under the law. Everyone that has been denied has received a letter from the Consulate stating that it has been denied, and going to be sent back to the US. It also goes on to say that at that time you will have the right to do a rebuttal and other things, but that right now because it is “being” sent back you cannot do anything until they receive it in the US. Then the US sends you a letter that the Consulate is sending your petition back and it says the same thing. SO…….. Why can they simply let the petition expire? This is in my opinion denial of due process, then to further my point right now when people are denied, and even if the service center lets the petition “expire” this by the way means they made no formal judgment on the consular’s implication of visa fraud, they just felt like doing nothing for you (denying you due process) and when some people file a second petition they are getting slapped with a NOID right away, the check gets cashed, and they meet all the requirements, but get a NOID #######??? The rules for a visa petition are cut and dry, I can understand a NOID if you were convicted of Visa fraud, or you failed to react to the chance of a rebuttal, or even if you fail to prove you earn enough money to even file, but if they let your case expire and you meet all the current criteria then how can they deny you simply because they failed to act on your petition and in the process of them “not feeling” like doing anything cash your check and send you a NOID, at least let the people have their $455 back or whatever they paid if the NOID goes through, but this is clearly the US government entities committing a crime against a USC in denying them the due process they are entitled to under the letter of the law. I know getting a Visa is a privilege, but filing for one is a right, just as long as you meet the certain criteria. Jerome

Truthfully. I wouldn't even try to make any kind of case but I know the bureaucracy stuff well. I was a bureaucrat once. They do change but it is a long slow change. Complaining just gets them even more hard to penetrate. The best and really only thing to do is to play the game by their rules. That is why it is important to have a site like this and to know before hand what is needed and the play book somewhat and then follow that.
