Just had my Biometrics taken as a walk-in. The lady told me initially that they don't do walk-ins because they will look at my scheduled appointment as missed and void my applications. But she did the biometrics for me anyway and just said "keep in mind they're not going to check that you took them early, they'll just wait for your appointment to pass". Im a little worried now, should I call USCIS and let them know I did them early?

I've never heard of that happening. Lots of people on this forum have done walk-ins without any complications.

I wondered that too at first, but the more I thought about it the less I think that was the case. I think I received the letter for retaking even before the originally scheduled date, so that means it more likely speeded up the process. Think, if I hadn't done it early I might have had to wait even longer! (and also, I didn't just walk in to do it. I had visited the day before to enquire about rescheduling, and the lady there gave me the following day as my rescheduled appointment.)

The lady doing my fingerprints actually mentioned that my prints were hard to take, and the letter said something about the FBI not being able to process my fingerprints, so I think it really was the case. Even the second time doing it (with the same lady, aargh!) she had to re-take some prints a few times.

For retaking the fingerprints, I decided to wait and not do a walk-in. I'm now regretting the decision and wish I'd tried, because it seems to be delaying my process by a month instead of just a couple of weeks. And I have a job offer that is waiting on the EAD!

So what happens with your status as far as SEVIS and ISO in school? Did you talk with your advisor and told them about your AOS?

I am going to be in the same situation soon applying for AOS and Graduating.

I just checked my status online and my I-485 case was last updated as of today 4/20 (previously it was last updated on the 8th). So I'm assuming/hoping that its status was updated today due to my walk-in biometrics, meaning they are aware I did them early.

The lady that took my fingerprints retook most of them couple times. My fingertips started hurt after that procedure. I couldn't wait till it's over.

At the same time she was talking and laughing with co-workers. May be that's how yours lady didn't pay attention to what she's doing.
