My daughters BD is coming up and I'm thinking about getting her a Ipad. What's so good about them.

They are so incredibly great. There wifi is shoddy at best, no flash support, so you can't really watch any streaming videos on the internet. Oh wait, that doesn't sound so cool afterall.

I can't imagine much (good) other than the 'gee wiz' factor. If she wants to surf the web and do what young people want to do, I'd go with a netbook.

Yeah I can't see where they'd be better than a small notebook/netbook. From what I've seen cheaper for a notebook also.

If you're going to get her an Apple product might as well get an iPod.

Otherwise a netbook or an ultra portable. Asus UL30 series is very nice.

And the stone doesn't start at $500 either. I think we could go into business and sell stones for $200 and make a killing. Those fools would by them if Apple sold them.
