Trust me, I am a lot older than you. I remember the mouse when it first came out. You don't seem to understand. Touch screens have been around for a very long time. I can go to Best Buy right now and buy a PC touch screen computer and never need a mouse. This is nothing new, it isn't revolutionary and it isn't going to change the way we use computers. This is nothing more than an overgrown iPhone. Sure we will at some point get away from the mouse, this isn't the breakthrough device to do it. It is old hat and a gimick.

There are no other portable devices out there with such a large touchscreen, combined with a user interface that sleek and lightning fast. Have you gone to an Apple Store and actually tried the iPad? Whether you end up buying an iPad for yourself or your spouse or one of your children, they are going to change the way most people compute on the go. Cell phones will no longer be the 'must have' latest gadget. Watch for other similar devices to come out that try to emulate what the iPad does.

I may get the 16GB version, it's cheap enough where if it sucks aѕѕ it'll just go onto my pile of "lightly used" devices and get forgotten quickly.

16GB is probably more than enough memory for whatever apps you might want on it.

Xerox was the one who came up with GUI! Not Apple!

Last time I check, those who use MACs are not computer engineer majors.

Ah Xerox PARC. Where would we be without you?

Just think. No mouse, no graphical windows, no Ethernet, and no laser printer.

Plus, no Bob Metcalfe to eat his own column about the collapse of the Internet. You know -- that silly little thing that Al Gore invented. ;)

By utilizing already available technology? By making it non-flash comptatible making over half the internet useless? By giving it a shoddy wifi capacity? No thanks

Flash will be dead in a couple of years. HTML5 is the future.
