You know what's really scary about your post? The fact that living in South Florida (from what I can tell, one of the most freaking expensive places in the country) is 33% cheaper than living in Hawaii!

April A friend told me that she thought my ideal man lived in Wyoming or Montana.

May 17 Did search on match.com. Found no-one in Wyoming. Only wrote to one person in Montana...his name was John. He replied two hours later.

Jun 26 Flew to Missoula to meet him & a weekend trip turned into a five week visit...

Many trips between US, Canada & Europe.

March 31 During a meeting in Vancouver, John proposed & I said YES!!!

Jun 2 Finally sent off our I-129F & a few days later we received NOA1. I am now officially an alien bride-to-be.

Aug 22 Email notification of NOA2.

Sep 12 Received letter to say application would be forwarded to US Embassy.

Nov 23 Returned packet 3 to Embassy

Feb 1 Interview. APPROVED!

What did I miss? Did they recently move Cape Canaveral to South Florida? Last time I was there (and that was only a few years back), it was pretty much straight East of Orlando which would put it more into Central Florida which is much cheaper than South Florida. ;)

You're right Reinhard! I'll be on the opposite coast than you, just East of Orlando, which is considered the Space Coast, or Central portion of Florida. I didn't do any comparisons with southern Florida, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that its much more expensive there.

The reason I originally moved to FL was to go to FSU for grad school. You'll love watching college football here in FL! Congrats on the move to Melbourne (it is a beautiful area and not nearly as crazy as here in Palm Beach County).

I guess the bigest problem I have with Bobby, is all the times his teams have kicked A&M's butt!!! :( Just one time I'd like to see Texas A&M beat FSU!!! :lol:;)

I know I'm going to have fun there during football season, because I know that Florida is just as ate up as Texas when it comes to football!!! :D:yes:

This place is just too expensive to live, and I'm bored with my work here.

Coming to Hawaii as a tourist or on vacation is totally different than living here. That's why there is such a problem with drugs and homeless people here in Hawaii, and its only getting worse.

Its a nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live here! :no:
