How far out are interview dates now?

Well it looks like we might need to reschdule our damn interview date because of how slow the Russian mail system has become... Anna's interview is scheduled for for April 23rd and it will probably take the package I sent her at least another couple of weeks to get there (mailed March 24th via USPS).

Does anyone know what the latest interview dates are looking like? I know we'll end up getting bumped to the end of the line.

Just curious where you found out it's the end of June for interview dates.

I'm not sure of the CR-1 uses the same time table or not is why I'm asking.

As I'm sure you know, trying to time things is a pain.

I just used Igors list to sort the dates for interviews in Moscow and went with the last date it had. I know it's not 100% accurate, but close enough is ok.

Why not just resend everything with FedEx.. I went there about two weeks ago and they had a three and five business day rate.. i think it would have been around $250 to get the package from California to Siberia in four actual days..

That would be because I don't want to spend 250 bucks?

I have 3 options.

Reschedule

Send it DHL and it will take around 3 days, for 95 bucks.

Have her girlfriend, who's in SC and leaving in a week or so back to Chel, take the package with her once I sent it 3 day air to her. (Not 100% sure when she's leaving)

Anna likes to say things like, "I will not come to Alaska if you spend (insert monetary amount here) on (insert object/subject for her here)".

An outsider's opinion: Pay the $95 and ship it FedEx. Rescheduling is a pain, and the friend may be unreliable or run into problems of her own.

You can pay the $95 or be patient. The package has not been in the mail long enough. It usually takes 2.5 weeks from the east coast. Give it an extra week from Alaska.

So what I am led to believe is that you are willing to extend your time away from your loved one for about three more months (when you reschedule an interview you are merely placed at the end of the line) for $95????

If $95 is such a deal breaker now, what about the AOS fees? New clothes? Why are we having this conversation?

Come on bud, get her here now, quit frigging around!!!

I suppose we're having this conversation because some people like to get to get a little over excited. blush.gif

She's not going to be moving over here until the end of July anyway.

As for the 95 dollar option, I just found that one out a few minutes before I posted about it.

She was planning to leave for Moscow on Wednesday, BUT, her family was just notified today that Anna's Uncle (her moms brother) passed away in the night after a battle with pancreatic cancer. They'll be leaving for Barnaul in the morning via train. Not sure how much time that's going to detract from this, but I can't look at it like that, it's her family.
